05.15.11---GOAL, ACT/AP, Vanderbilt, Guatemala, ESL classes, and Guatemala (again)

Ok, here we go around the horn with the Davis Family…

Gabi (12)---scored her 1st goal on the big field yesterday, as well as made a great stop at goalie. Gabi continues to do very well at Franklin Middle School, church, etc.

Matt (16)---Matt has been “test boy” of late, taking the ACT with all of his junior class and 3 AP tests. He also had his wisdom teeth out and really enjoyed that (not). Matt is serving on the Chicago Impact Team at the end of the summer, doing work in the inner city of Chicago.

John (19) ---was accepted to Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN as a transfer student. He will be working at Covenant Harbor this summer as a counselor. Covenant Harbor is a camp of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Lake Geneva, WI.

Bethany (21) ---finished up her 3rd year at Liberty University. She served as SGA President (1st female) this past year. She is currently on route to Guatemala where she will serve as Assistant Director at the Liberty University Spanish Institute. This is her 5th time in Guatemala during her college years.

Janet ---in addition to teaching English to students needing extra help, Janet has been taking graduate courses on bilingual education this past year…she has had a very good, but busy year.

Mike---this time next week I will be in Guatemala for meetings of the Europe Division Leadership Team. Our leader, David Ruiz, is from Guatemala. We look forward to spending time in David’s country, see his family, and plan for ReachGlobal Europe’s future. At the end of our meetings, David will accompany me as we visit Bethany.

• We are praying that one new church or individual join our support team each month. We need some new supporters on our team!
