the conference continues - Sunday the 14th

Singing the Beatles "Can't buy me love" is how we kicked off our morning session. Kevin Cross (CPA, Pastor of Stewardship at a church in Atlanta) spoke on the subject of money. His presentation was super high octane. I think he consumed a six pack of Red Bull before getting up on stage. Kevin said "crazy" stuff like don't spend more than you have, save some money, and don't always go for the bigger and better. Crazy stuff, huh? The statistics on the average American family related to spending, debt, savings (lack of it), and lack of generous giving are staggering and sobering. I was both convicted and inspired to live differently and to speak out more on money issues.

Human trafficking was the equipping session of the afternoon. Wow, talk about a sad, horrible reality. Human trafficking is SLAVERY. Two very informed ladies walked us through the subject, asking us to both "hear" and then "answer" the call.
