Athens, Day #7

Cal Swan's reflections from the Camino de Santiago:

  • we're only pilgrims passing through this world---how true and how important we understand this truth!
  • we're walking with brothers and sisters on life's journey
  • building a bridge is important...are we helping to build bridges for others on their journey?
  • encourage others to walk forward
  • sweet walks with Jesus are not devoid of temptation

Quintin Stieff shared a number of leadership axioms...put together from 20 plus years in ministry.

We were done as a group by 11:30 am this morning so that the majority of the group could get to the Acropolis before the 2:30 PM closing time.

Don and I are going to head to the airport late tonight, as he has a 4:30 am something flight and mine leaves at 6:30 am...it is airport hanging out (an maybe sleeping?) with a good colleague and friend---could be worse!

The Berlin/Athens journey is coming to a close. So many good sights, sounds, smells, tastes, conversations, meetings, and new friends these past two weeks. I am blessed. I am thankful.

I am leaving with a number of new friends and a new country that I love---not bad :)
