First, thank you to ALL of those who have given us a one-time gift or supported us annually since 1992. Yes, we have been at this since 1992, over 20 years!
Secondly, doing gospel ministry anywhere in the world is difficult and costs money. Europe is difficult. Europe is expensive. We don't choose where we should work in the world based on which country would be the cheapest, nor the "easiest" in terms of "bang for your buck." We are Europe missionaries because God has called us, and continues to call us, to this needy continent. The missionaries I work with and oversee in Europe continue to be my heroes, working in countries where the "degree of difficulty" is great and the "financial commitment" both professionally and personally is substantial. This is a tough one-two punch for all those working in Europe.
Thirdly, I would ask you to prayerfully consider supporting our ministry on a one-time or monthly/annual basis. My best guess is that we are lacking $1000 a month, $12,000 a year, to meet our financial needs in 2012. Please know that no one-time or monthly/annual gift is too small.
Lastly, I will be in Lisbon and Madrid at the end of the month leading in a long term planning process (assessment of present ministry, context, resources, 10 & 3 year goals, 6 month tactics). Lord willing, I will be involved in this process in each of the 12 West Europe cities I oversee in 2012. I think you can see how potentially important these times will be.
